Finding the Keyword
Ran across OnlineGoldFinder yesterday. Interesting little application. I've been very much interesting to purchase Keyword Country after the awesome review of all those keyword site's by Allan Gardyne's guy. We'll see.

Massive amounts of Pages...a good thing?
Ran across this free online application yesterday. I didn't have the time to tinker with it, but it looks like it build massive amounts of pages, changing the content on pages you submit. So, you would scan through a site, pull the content, then it will "re-write" the content on the page to be "unique"..sorta like Articlebot.
Check it out let me know what you think. Doing a little snooping, the site seems to be developed by SearchEngineCloaker.

Blogs are important to everyone!
The BBC is saying that shoppers are relying more and more on blogs to do their thinking for them. Here's a snippet:
Amazing. What should you do then...if you have an internet consumer product website? I'll give you a hint. Go here - www.blogger.com . :)
Blogs continue to grow, not only in number, but in value and consumer perception as a reliable and credible source of information.
I'm a recent fan of The West Wing. Last night was the season opener, and one of the presidential candidates met with his blog master...heading up current events via the blog. They actually said "blog" on this show. I thought that was great! Shows me that blogs are growing more and more mainstream and gives us even more reason to start blogs for every niche we can.
If you must hire someone to manage your blogs, to make post, etc. I'd recommend doing so ASAP.
Almost half, 49%, thought blogs were as credible as articles in magazines, 46% thought web journals were as trustworthy as newspapers and 40% thought web logs and TV news programmes were just as reliable as each other.

BlogSense and Y! update
Blogger has added a clean and easy way to customize your adsense into your blogger posts. Jensene has more. And pictures. :)
In other news...
Y! is having some kind of update, at least that's what the forums are saying. I thought Tim was letting us know when updates were going to happen. I remember him saying "Weather Forcasts". Maybe he can't predict the weather too well, just like all the other Dallas Rains out there. :)
On a lighter side...
I love Family Guy. If you don't have it where you are...I recommend downloading from P2P and watch! Check out Stewie Live...funny!
Till next time...

Connect Anywhere
Last night I was watching TV and saw an ad for Verizon touting their new service, Broadband Access anywhere. The service was being advertised for $60. This is a great idea to start on. No one has taken a monopoly on this service, and those wifi "hotspots" was a sorry excuse for "wireless" access ports.
Google is taking things into their own hands thou. I have to agree with Dave over at Scripting when he writes:
Lets see how things shape up in the next year. I'm hoping to see an alternative, like nationwide access, rather then wifi spots. Never really liked that idea in the first place.

If Google really is doing a big nationwide wifi network then bless their souls for thinking so big. Someone has to do that big network. I mean, all our laptops have wifi now. Someday we'll have wifi access everywhere, why wait? The money we're spending on the war in Iraq could have done it. The money we'll spend rebuilding the Gulf Coast could have done it. If Google can leverage their economic power to give us the network we deserve, now, then I gotta say thanks.
Lets see how things shape up in the next year. I'm hoping to see an alternative, like nationwide access, rather then wifi spots. Never really liked that idea in the first place.

I love tools!
Webprofessor has come up with an ingenius little tool. You input a keyword, then it queries Overture's database and finds domains that are available with your keyword in it. Pretty neat tool. Needs to be faster, but cool none-the-less. Check out: Domain Hunter.
Only problem I see, which isn't the tools fault, is that you don't get the plural version of domains available. That's more on Overtures end. That's a shame. Only if there was a way...
Hat tip: TW
I'll be putting together a Tools page on this blog. I've listed a bunch of tools over the 8 month course I've been doing this blog. I hate going through some of my old blog posts to find some of those neat tools on the net. Time to re-organize.

Million Dollar Homepage
If you haven't heard already, a 21 year old kid in the UK, needs some money to go to his University. So, he brainstorms and comes up with The Million Dollar Homepage.
I've been so intrigued by this site lately. I mean, this is one of those ideas you say, "I should've thought of that!".
Being the Link Popularity Manager at my company, thinking up new and different ways to acquire links is something I must do. This kind of site is exactly the type of "outside-the-box" thinking you should be having.
As Pooh would say, "Find your thinking spot".

Trick to get Adsense to display
A member over at the DP forum asked the typical question..."My adsense isn't displaying correctly". The response is what baffled me from another member. He said to download Opera browser and then go to your website using the Opera browser.
At this point I'm like, ya, ok. So, the initial poster does this. Couple of hours later responds as says it works! What...it works!
Well, I haven't given it a try only because I always get relevant ads as soon as I put up my pages, but if you're having this problem, you might want to download Opera and give it a shot. Why not?

Changes are a happennin'...
Looks like Google's Homepage has a new Personalized Home text link at the top right corner. "And now ladies and gentleman...let me introduce you to the new Google Portal." BOO...BOOO
I know Google is looking out for everyone's best interest, including the shareholders, and personalization/local search is the wave of the feature for search, but I'm just not a big fan of the whole "Let's turn our site to a Portal like Yahoo!, MSN, etc..."
Another site thats gone through some changes as well is our very own Blogger.com. Looks like the have a little scroll text feature that let's you click on blogs within the Blogspot.com (and beyond) network. Also, when you login to your blogger account, there's a BlogSearch box as well.

Databases are a wonderful thing!
If you haven't built a site with a database of content, I suggest you stop what you're doing and get on it! Well...at least put it on your to-do list. One of the biggest problems with newbies and semi-newbies alike is that they don't know how to get content or where to get it or what kind of content to use. Databases of information solve that problem.
You can buy thousands upon thousands of industry type databases filled with all sorts of information. If you're not a programmer, like me, you can out-source your database building site with a PHP or .NET programmer at Elance.com or Rentacoder.com.
So, where do you find databases? Well, that's a good question. You can outsource your database building efforts through someone at Rentacoder. Say you want a list of 20,000 real estate agents. Have someone on Rentacoder pull together a list of real estate agents, grabbing from various sources around the net. Another great place you can request databases is BuyAndSellDB.com. They have a forum there, all set up for you database buildng efforts. I found this site at the DP forum the other day and I think it's a great idea. Definitely a niche that hasn't been tapped.
Try building your first database site. It's lots of fun and can earn you lots of money as well! :)

Crazy week
It's been a little hectic this week for me with the holiday weekend passing and the fact that my FORMER roommate is an *ss (meaning I moved out and relocated closer to the beach
).
Anyway, I found a blog today, while clicking away throught the net, that showcased a case study on Adsense. Jon, owner/blogger of SmartMoneyDaily.com did a little split test to see what types of ads really do work well with Adsense. What he found out might suprise you.

Google Talk - Review
If you haven't heard already, Google has their very own..state of the art...brand new....
Instant Messager.
You get sent an invitation to use the service via you Gmail account when adding new friends. I'm not sure if I like the fact that you have to have a Gmail account to use the service.
Each conversation you have is saved for the next time you have it. So, say you're talking to Billy about your brand new red Ferrari you purchased from all the spamming you've been doing. Well, Billy says he wants to go buy one too and runs of and buys one. 2 hours later he jumps back online and "GT's you" (instead of Instant Message - IM ). The window pulls up and your last conversation will Billy is still there. Kinda neat...kinda not...whatever.
I haven't had a chance to setup the phone portion of the service. I need to get a mic. Chris R mentioned he setup wireless Bluetooth connection with his. Probably what I'll do, if I can get around the whole Windows XP thing. Great. :)

Free Article Directory Script
I ran across this free article directory script. Looks great and really spits out good looking pages/URLs, which is good for SEO. You can see a work copy here: www.articledashboard.com.
