Need beta testers for traffic driving tool

CAUTION!

Reading this post may make you do things that drive ridiculous amounts of traffic to your site, but might also be considered "dark arts". Read with caution. :)

I've been keeping a close eye at the PayItForward blog recently, as he's been saying he drives lots of traffic to his sites right off the bat. I'm always looking for new ways to drive traffic to my sites.

One of the ways he's going about this is by using a forum spam tool to drive people to his sites. Now, like I've said before, these kinda of tactics might be considered "black hat". Sometimes you have to look at tactics as "what works" and "what doesn't" or even "risks".

He's looking for a few more beta testers before he launches it out. Please check out this thread to get on the list to try out the tool. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SAY VOASI SENT YOU!

Thanks!

Link Pages: The Right Way...DUH!

Today, I'd like to talk about how to construct a link page that adds value for the people that are linking back to you, doesn't let the search engines know your "manipulating their search engine by getting links", and looks appealing to the users of your site.

Your standard link page looks something like this:

====
SEO Anchor Text
A wonderful description that no one reads...you link page sucks.

Anchor Text For SEO
Another wonderful description that no one likes.

Yet Another Link for SEO
Blah...blah...blah...you get the idea.
====

Now, here's an example of a good link page:

====
A wonderful description that no one reads...you link page sucks. BUT, some thought was put into this paragraph to give the SEO anchor text here a chance to look decent throughout the copy of this page.

Another wonderful description that no one likes. Again, a little more thought added by either you or the SEO anchor text company to make a nice appealing paragraph for the users of this site.

Blah...blah...blah...you get the idea. This paragraph might be a little bit shorter for the SEO anchor text. That's ok, still looks good.
====

The differences between the 2 are obvious. Make your pages appealing to your visitors. Don't try and shout out on top of a mountain: "Hey, search engines, this is my link page in an attempt to manipulate your search engine for ranking, money and world domination".

Not only what I said above, but it will also help your link partners. There is a debate that having content surrounding your links is going to help. I haven't seen strict evidence (maybe I should do a test), but it's a good idea and would make sense if the search engines valued those types of links a little more, than your standard: link and then description.

Another issue I'd like to bring up is Title attribute and page naming.

Your title attribute for a page should be something descriptive, not "Link Page #1" or another one I see a lot "My Anchor Text - Page 1". What is that!? That adds NO VALUE to anyone. Change your titles to be descriptive. If your link page is about "Knitting", then label your title: "Knitting Partners & Friends | YourSiteName.com" (or something similar).

Page naming. Ok. Please, oh please, don't name your page: link-page.htm (or whatever extension). Again, if you page is about knitting, then make a folder within your site named "partners" and then name this page: knitting.htm

These should be common practice for all who do SEO for the long haul. Most webmasters/site owners are in such a rush to get things done, make some quick cash and go to Europe and marry some French sex goddess (ok...maybe that's just me), but take a little time and do it right. Make this business of raking in money online last a lifetime and let it grow. It usually doesn't happen over night, but I see people get frustrated over night and drop out all the time.

As I always say, 5 years is coming whether you'd like it or not. Would you rather have 200 sites making you $10,000 a month with no work on your part OR would you still like to be struggling to make your first $100 month, because you like to rush you online ventures and no foresight. :)

Instant Site Comments! You Gotta Have This!

My good buddy just launched a new site called InstantSiteComments.com. Robert is actually my partner over at EbookNiches.com and he is very good at the little details and making sure everything works well.

I have to say, InstantSiteComments is an awesome script. It's very easy to use. Very customizable and very critical for your site.

What is it?

InstantSiteComments gives you the ability to add a comments feature to all of your articles or wherever for that matter.

Now, more then ever, people are really big on PLR articles. Even though PLR articles are GREAT, still, a possible couple hundred people are also using that same article. With the duplicant content filter, its necessary to make a COUPLE changes to your articles. I've scraped lots of content and I've found out the differences between something thats duplicant and something that is not within the eyes of big Google. With this script, you can easily get past those filters...by letting others do it! :)

Better yet, you could pay a couple people to go through all the articles on your site, post a few comments per article, and BAM, the article looks unique (well, unique enough to get around the duplicant content filter).

And just an FYI, there are no affiliate links here, as I genuinely believe everyone should have this script on there site. Not only for duplicant content issues, but for bringing users back to your site and making them feel like they're a part of your site, rather then something that found an article and read something about the topic.

Hot DP Girls - 3 words!

A. Maz. Ing. :)

This is great. I don't know who decided to start the hottest girls of DP forum, but I like where their head is hot. Nothing sexier then a girl that sits in front of the computer all day and makes more money then you do. :)

...and looks great in a bikini. ;)

Site-Flipping Update

I've got the 20 articles I need to start the project. Took about a week for my guy to write them. They're actually re-written articles from an AdsenseNiches.com topic, which is on Sprint Cell Phones. I'm going to work on the template tomorrow and hopefully have it online by Tues/Wed and have a few cell phones incoming links by next Tuesday. Might start an Adwords campaign for it to get some clicks via adsense.

Well, I should probably outline this a little better...so here it goes :)

- Start/Finish Design
- Put up StatCounter.com counter
- Setup Adsense
- Get Incoming Links (DP Forum/GOOGLE searches/Article Submissions)
- Sell by 22nd

Breakdown of costs:
- Investment:
- Articles: $70
- Domain: $6.25 (.com)
- One-way links: $15
- Hosting: $5 (I already have an account I'm just going to through this up on, so I don't really need to figure this one, but I will anyway.)
- Total: $96.25
- Sale Goal: $300
====================
Potential Net Income: $203.75

Sweet. :)
