MySpace Marketing Expirement/Test

Along with doing some Viral-type sites, like I mentioned in my previous post, I'm also going to drive sales and conversions via Myspace. Last night, I put together a nice little ebook at Cats called "Cat Urine Alert". It's an ebook about how to get rid of cat urine smells and odors.

I've setup a Myspace profile for this marketing experiment and I plan on setting up a few more accounts to market this same ebook.

I did a few bulletins last night, but no sales so far. I think I need to build up the friends list a little bit more. My friends are all either cat-friendly or pet-friendly, so they are targeted to the book.

I'm on the fence right now if I wanna setup an Aweber for this site. I mean, am I really going to be marketing to cat owners again? ...maybe. Wouldn't hurt I guess.

I'll give you posted of sales and other aspects of this little test. I'll probably be setting up a page to the right and make a new category title: TESTS. In fact...I'll just do that right now.

I'm also starting a Google Arbitration test too. I'll post about that tomorrow or Monday... probably Monday though. :)

Catcha on the flip side.

Relaunch = $6,000

Thanks to Robert, my partner over at www.EbookNiches.com (EBN), we had a nice re-launch of our site, which brought in a cool $6k over 5 days.

This was a nice little Thanksgiving bonus that I wasn't expecting...as he didn't let me know. :) It was great!

This leads me to re-launching sites. Now, to my understanding, typically, if you have a membership site, you have a reverse pyramid type of model. Basically, when you launch your site, you achieve a lot sales. After a few months, the sales start to die done and members start to cancel. This re-launch was great for me to see, firsthand, how essential it is to do a couple JV's again and start the pyramid over.

This just goes to show that I'm still learning. :)

I'm going to be doing a project like the $15k Challenge coming up soon. I'm getting all the pieces together, like the scripts (which I have you; can find them here ...I think Will has priced WAY TOO LOW). I'll be using a topic from one of our EBN packages and I'll probably do another report on the whole process for free. That seemed to work out well. I'll keep everyone informed.

New Firefox Plugin...LOVE IT!

What it does is it adds a little IE icon to the top so that you can switch between FF or IE, within the same tab. AWESOME!

I forget where or who showed this to me, but man, do I love this new firefox addon. I hated always opening up IE and then typing in the domain. This is perfect. Great for web designers if you are....or dabble.

Another one I don't wanna forget! ReminderFox

My First Digg! Check it out...

I FINALLY jumped onto DIGG.com and gave it a shot. It's a lot easier than I thought, which sucks, because now I'll be using it more. :) Here's a link to my first post/digg - http://digg.com/videos_educational/Super_Slow_Motion_3...

If you feel inclined to push a button to make the number's go higher, that could be cool. ;)

Huge $50 Discount!

I'm doing a HUGE SALE on my Ebook Niches membership site. I'm offering $50 off! I know, I know, a little bit crazy.

Here's a breakdown of what you get:

- 60-75 page professionally written ebooks – 4 a MONTH! (This isn't Public Domain stuff either. All the niches we provide have been researched and is BRAND NEW to the internet)
- Complete Graphics Package: ebook covers, psd's and more
- Large Keyword List per niche for PPC and other related marketing
- Sales Letter per ebook!
- 5 Day mini-email course to garner more email lists and convert traffic
- 20 PLR articles per ebook to market your new niche

This membership site usually goes for $97 a month and at that price, is WELL WORTH IT. I've done a case study (Ebook Success report to the right) using just one of these packages and the income that was made. It was just too easy.

Site-Flipping: Started

Last week, I put up the site I'll be trying to sell for a profit, as outlined here. The site is SprintDevices.com.

I've got a few backlinks pointing to it and it's already starting to get indexed by the various SE's.

Hopefully by next week, I'll be posting it Digitalpoint to see if someone wants to purchase it.

Let me know what you think.

They Got Me!!!

I was browsing Digitalpoint and someone's signature caught my eye. I clicked on their site and I click on an ADSENSE AD! It was the Adsense going across the top header.

I can't remember the last time I actually clicked on an adsense ad. Good integration of your ads into your site is SOOOO key with Adsense and really, any type of marketing on your sites. I practice this with all sites I do.

Test and track. Biggest mistake most marketers/SEOs/SEMs don't do. DO IT! :)

Site Flipping Project - On Hiatus

About a month ago, I said was going to test a new method of getting some cash, called "Site Flipping". My method was really the traditional method of purchasing a site at a low price, fixing up the site (adding graphics, getting traffic, etc...), and then selling them for more then the initial purchase price.

Maybe what I'm testing isn't even Site-Flipping, but I'm not sure what to call it. I'm basically designing a complete unique site and then selling it for a profit.

ANYWAY, I've got a little time next week, so I'll be working on that project. The site is going to be on Sprint Cell Phones. I have a template that I'm going to try and work on tonight. I'll need to buy a domain for this project and I'll just throw it up on one of my hosting accounts. My initial breakdown of this project was roughly a profit of $203. Hopefully I'll be selling this site and hitting that mark around November 17th. We'll see how my time goes next week.
